Crystal turquoise waters, white pebbles, trees with natural shade, tranquility – peace can be enjoyed by anyone visiting the beach of Ag. Sophia, located in Komitata of Erisos.
In the old days, beside the beach there was a settlement that was deserted after the devastating earthquake of 1953. Today there are only some old houses there, the only remains of the beautiful pre-earthquake village.
Access to the beach through the beautiful villages of Erisos is easy, you can also visit Gorgota Beach, which is located next to Hagia Sophia, where very beautiful scenes from the movie “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin” were shot.
